Users and permissions

Documentation is usually managed by several people and signed by one. Roles are designed around this division, and there are three of them.

Viewer

Can view records, documents and declarations of conformity, download exports, but cannot change anything. For accounting, audit and management.

Editor

Manages records: enters packaging, uploads documents and sends requests to suppliers. Cannot sign declarations of conformity.

Owner

Everything above, plus two things no one else has: signing declarations of conformity and account settings — company data, team and model key.

Why an editor cannot sign

Because these are two different responsibilities. The person entering the data is responsible for its accuracy; the person signing is responsible for assessing whether the documentation is sufficient. Combining these roles means that no one reviews the documents a second time.

The role is assigned to the company

The same person can be an owner in one company on the account and a viewer in another. When switching entities, their permissions change — bear this in mind if someone reports that “the button has disappeared”.

An employee leaving

Revoke access; do not delete the user. Change history and signatures refer to specific people — a deleted user would leave gaps in the archive.
