Technical drawing with the packaging

You can attach a technical drawing to the packaging. It is not mandatory, but it changes what the recipient of the declaration receives: instead of the statement alone — the statement together with the design to which it relates.

What you can upload

PDF, JPG or PNG, up to 20 MB. The format affects the result:

• PDF is appended to the declaration as separate pages, at full resolution.
• JPG and PNG are included in the document content as an image.

Drawing caption

An optional field, but it is worth completing it with the revision number — for example, “Design drawing NP-1208-200, rev. C, scale 1:5”. After two years, this will be the only thing indicating which drawing formed the basis for which version of the declaration.

What the drawing does not do

It does not complete the record. You enter dimensions, masses and composition separately — the application does not read them from the drawing or calculate surface area from it. The drawing is an attachment to the document, not a data source.

Replacing the drawing

Uploading a new drawing does not change declarations already issued — they are immutable. A design change is a reason to issue a new version, not to replace the attachment under an old one.
