Backups and what happens in the event of an outage
Compliance documentation is documentation you need to have at the time of an inspection — not something that can be recreated within a week.
Where the data is stored
On servers in the European Union. It is not transferred outside it or copied to providers outside the EU.
What you need to do
Once a quarter, download CSV reports and the most important declarations, and store them yourself. Not because we expect a failure, but because documentation whose only copy is held by a service provider is documentation dependent on that provider.
Deletion is irreversible
There is no recycle bin or restore option. A deleted packaging item disappears together with its components; a deleted material disappears together with the documents uploaded to it. This is why deletion always requires confirmation — and why it is worth keeping your own export.
An issued declaration is immutable
Once issued, a document cannot be edited or withdrawn. A change means issuing a new version; the previous one remains in the archive with its own number and date. This is not a limitation to work around — a document that can be amended after the fact proves nothing.
